Courses Offered by the Athletic Training Division

The official course descriptions for all courses are available in the University Course Offerings Bulletin (select ATH TRNG on the "Department" drop down list and leave the course box blank).

Note: ATH TRNG 303 - Basic Athletic Training in offered only for students who plan to apply for admission to the Athletic Training Major.  It is automatically limited to pre-AT majors in the School of Allied Medical Professions (SAMP).  This is to give current pre-AT majors priority scheduling. We will NOT grant permission to any other students until all current pre-AT majors have had an opportunity to register.   After that time, permissions are at the discretion of the instructor only.

If you are looking for a general Sports Medicine course for non-majors, ATH TRNG 661 - Survey of Sports Medicine (4 cr hr) is the course you want.  This course is offered every quarter and covers topics including common sports injuries and their prevention and immediate care as well as risk management related to sports injuries.
