Tuition

  • Full-time tuition for in-state students (2009 - 2010) = $8,706 per year
  • Full-time tuition for out-of-state students (2009- 2010) = $22,278 per year

Other costs

  • Room & Board (on campus, 2009 - 2010) = $8,409 per year
    • additional room and board will be required for two months during the summer immediately following program admission during which students enroll in a summer course during the months of August and September.  Based on the nine-month room and board estimate above, this two-month room and board would be an additional $1794
  • Some clinical rotations are not on campus, but all are within a 25 mile radius of Ohio State's Campus.  Students are responsible for transportation costs to and from these clinical rotations.  It is typical that students carpool for some of these and all students in such a carpool contribute funds to cover the expense.
  • First-Aid & CPR Certification = approx. $125 for 1st year & approx. $35-70 for annual updates
  • Required Student Liability Insurance =  no cost (optional insurance providing coverage for volunteer events [e.g. high school wrestling championships] can be purchased for ~$30 per year)
  • Professional Association Membership (strongly recommended) = $90 per year
  • Estimated Other costs (books, clothing, health insurance, travel, phone, etc) = $4,572 per year
  • BOC Certification Examination (Spring of Senior Year) = $325

Scholarships

  • The program does not offer scholarships for incoming students.  There are several scholarships that students can apply for once they are enrolled in the major.  Visit our Scholarships Page for more information.  In 2008-2009 we awared a total of approximately $11,000 in Athletic Training scholarships.
