Programs at The Ohio State University include a coordinated program at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Coordinated programs combine the coursework with the internship so students are eligible to take the national dietetics registration exam upon graduation.
Many students use the undergraduate program as a great background for medical school, physical therapy, occupational therapy, or other graduate programs. The coordinated graduate program is designed for students who have a major in another area and would like to pursue a dietitian's registered-eligible program at the graduate level. |
Medical Dietetics also provides a combined masters internship program for dietetic students who have graduated from a didactic program in dietetics. This unique program allows students to choose a clinical nutrition track, allied medical education track, or allied medical management track to combine with the internship. This allows interns to pursue their areas of interest through their masters' program while continuing their dietetics education in an exciting internship.
The last program offered by Medical Dietetics is a masters degree in clinical nutrition. This degree is specifically designed for the practicing dietitian to return to school to further their knowledge. Students may select from a variety of courses to augment a degree that investigates critical nutrition, community nutrition, metabolic diseases, and clinical management. |
