OSU Clinical Residency in Neurologic Physical Therapy

The Ohio State University Medical Center  is currently offering a Neurologic Physical Therapy Residency Program.

The program is 12 months in length beginning each year in September.

This program will uniquely provide the resident with opportunities to treat patients in the acute, rehabilitation and out patient settings. Residents will be encouraged to join a care team and specialize in an area of interest including but not limited to: Stroke, Spinal Cord Injury, Traumatic Brain Injury and Neurodegenerative Diseases.

Educational modules include:

  • Neuroscience and neurologic lab teaching assistant
  • Resident/fellow conferences with neurologists and physical medicine physicians
  • Quarterly Grand Rounds
  • Physician shadowing
  • Neurologic  disorders research lab experience
  • Physicians Free Clinic experience and coverage

Salary is commensurate with experience and revenue-generating clinical time.

The Residency Program is applying for accreditation by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).

Applications will be accepted until  May 1, 2010 and top candidates will be interviewed on campus during  June of 2010.  Applicants must be eligible for licensure in the state of Ohio.
