Radiologist Assistant (RA)

The Master of Science Graduate Program within the School of Allied Medical Professions offers coursework specific to the Radiologist Assistant (RA).

Applicants must:

  • have a minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.0;
  • complete the GRE and submit the results to The Ohio State University;
  • hold current certification in radiography from the ARRT, in good standing;
  • have completed a minimum of 2 years of clinical practice in radiography;
  • have completed Pharmacology 600 - General Pharmacology, or equivalent; and
  • hold current certification in the American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

To complete the Thesis Plan B, a requirement of 5 patient cases studies will be assessed prior to graduation.  The patient cases must be submitted to the ARRT (in addition to CR-1) in order to qualify for registration and licensing.

·         The Summary of Clinical Experience and Competency Assessments (Form CR-1) must be completed and have documentation of the minimum number of required competencies (500 cases required by ARRT)
