Evans, et. al. chosen for Gottesfeld award

The Gottesfeld award for outstanding articles published in the Journal of Diagnostic Medical Sonography has been announced and the article authored by Evans, Sammet, Ramos, and Knopp has been selected. The article titled: Image segmentation for evaluating axillary lymph nodes which appeared in JDMS 24: 329-336 was chosen as one of the best published articles for 2008. This award is given in memory of Dr. Kenneth R. Gottesfeld, MD and is annually provided to recognize outstanding scientific publications and reviews provided by the JDMS. The Evans, et. al. article has been highly ranked as one the 50 most frequently read articles tracked by Sage publications. The group is currently working on a second article that extends this reserach effort. This is Dr. Evans third time to win this award.
